Course Objective -
Students will have the academic knowledge and employment skills necessary to obtain entry level employment in the field of construction.
Successful completion of this course includes -
NCCER Core credential, CCS card (Coalition for Construction Safety), and OSHA 10 certification.
Course Description -
The training program utilizes a curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). NCCER’s Core Curriculum is 80 hours of instruction that teaches the fundamentals of construction: basic rigging, basic communication, and employability skills. Department of Labor recognizes this as the coursework equivalent of a person’s first year of apprenticeship training.
Pre-requisite -
18 years old + | US Citizen or a has US work permit | Reading and Math TABE assessments = NRS score of 3+ | Complete the WinLearning Soft Skills course | must be able to attend all classes scheduled, to successfully complete the class.
Funding -
This class tuition is fully funded by the State for individuals who successfully complete the enrollment process and secure a spot in the class. (A $2,500 value)
